Effective strategic sourcing at Danske Spil with A-2's expertise

We worked with Danske Spil to provide strategic advice and assistance on procurement and tendering, including certified negotiation training and support in conducting EU tenders.

Background

Situation

Danske Spil A/S is the national lottery in Denmark. Danske Spil A/S offers a range of games: Number games, instant games, knowledge games and slot machine games. The company has ongoing supply-related activities that are essential to the core business.

Challenge

The collaboration is based on A-2's SKI framework agreements. Danske Spil has needed support for various procurement-related activities, including assistance with contract law, contract management, advisory services, procurement analysis, preparation of requirement specifications and coordination of all procurement activities.

Purpose

The purpose of the project has been to act as a strategic partner for Danske Spil in connection with advice and assistance within procurement and tendering. In addition, Danske Spil has requested support for training of employees within the departments in order to optimize and improve the organization, processes and approach to conducting tenders.

Approach & Results

A-2 has worked both as a procurement resource as an integrated part of Danske Spil's procurement department and as management consultants for Danske Spil's business departments. A-2 worked closely with the business managers to develop project-related material, decision memos and other material for management and steering groups as well as tender-specific material, including requirement specifications.

Support for the preparation and implementation of tenders

A-2 has assisted Danske Spil with the preparation and implementation of various EU tenders with negotiations regarding advertising agencies, IT system for virtual betting, instant gaming system, banking services, IT system for HR and payroll and insurance services.

Value creation

Most of Danske Spil's tenders have been conducted through negotiations. Based on A-2's extensive experience in conducting tender negotiations, they have offered a certified negotiation training to Danske Spil. A-2 has provided Danske Spil with a negotiation strategy for the specific tenders and has continuously facilitated various negotiation rounds
